Dojix is free software, copyright © 2026 Douglas Cleary, released under the GNU General Public License, version 3 (GPL-3.0). It costs nothing and there is no account, subscription or license key.

1. The license in short

This summary is for convenience only. The full license text in the repository is what applies.

• Use — you may run Dojix for any purpose.
• Study and change — the complete source code is on GitHub; you may read it and modify it.
• Share — you may give copies to others, changed or unchanged.
• Keep it free — if you distribute Dojix or a modified version, you must do so under the GPL-3.0 as well, include the license, and make the corresponding source code available.

Third-party components and their licenses are listed in the repository's NOTICE file.

2. No warranty

Dojix is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, and including the accuracy of its analytics or of AI-generated recommendations. To the extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any damages arising from its use, including trading losses or data loss. See sections 15 and 16 of the GPL-3.0.

3. Not financial advice

Dojix is a journaling tool, not financial advice. Its analytics, signals and optional AI recommendations are for information only. Trading forex and other financial instruments carries a substantial risk of loss, and past performance does not guarantee future results. You are responsible for your own trading decisions.

4. Your data

Your journal is stored only on your Mac. Nobody else has a copy, so keep your own backups (Dojix can make password-protected backups). There is no password recovery for App Lock. See the privacy page for details.

5. Third-party services

Optional features connect to services you choose (Anthropic, Twelve Data, Polygon.io, OANDA) using your own keys and accounts. Your use of those services is governed by their terms, and any usage is billed to you by them.

6. Downloads

Official builds are published only on GitHub Releases. They are not signed with an Apple Developer ID or notarized; check the .sha256 file published with each release, or build Dojix from source.
